Cox Business keeps its main lineup to three plans, and the pricing is competitive for commercial-grade service. The plans available are:
- 500 Mbps for $65/month
- 1 Gbps for $115/month
- 2 Gbps for $165/month
The 500 Mbps plan is usually enough for most small businesses, as it can handle daily operations with plenty of headroom. If your business runs many connected devices, moves large files, or simply wants the included extras like security, step up to the 1 Gig or 2 Gig plan. One note before you compare numbers: Cox does not publish business pricing the way it publishes residential rates. Quotes vary by address, so the figure you see may differ from the advertised starting price. Confirm your exact rate for your location before you sign by calling 1-844-621-1224.
Contracts and autopay
Cox Business works differently from a no-contract provider like Spectrum because to get promotional pricing, you sign a 12- or 24-month term agreement. You do have the option to go month-to-month, but Cox charges much higher rates for that flexibility, and canceling a term early triggers an early termination fee. The advertised prices also assume you enroll in autopay through a bank account (ACH) and go paperless. Skip either one and your rate goes up. On the entry plan, for example, the $65 rate becomes $75 a month without both enrollments.
The promo period price jump
Your introductory rate is valid only for the duration of your contract term (12-24 months). Once the promotional period ends, standard pricing kicks in. Read the term details before signing so the long-term number drives your decision, not the teaser rate.
Gift cards and add-on costs
Some Cox plans come with a prepaid Mastercard as a deal-sweetener. These require a 12-month contract and 90 days of active, in-good-standing service. As for add-ons, the 300 and 500 Mbps tiers charge extra for three features businesses care about: cellular backup internet and cybersecurity each start at $35 a month, and 24/7 IT support starts at $30 a month. Those same three add-ons are included on the 1 Gig and 2 Gig plans at no extra cost.
Need more than a standard plan?
If your business needs guaranteed bandwidth, a formal service-level agreement, or speeds beyond 2 Gbps, Cox offers Dedicated Internet Access. This enterprise product runs on fiber, scales up to 100 Gbps, and includes performance guarantees that standard plans do not carry.
Pricing is custom, so you will need to request a quote by calling 1-844-621-1224.
