Best Internet Deals October 2026 Edition

Five-year price locks, $35 home internet plans, and reward cards lead the best internet deals right now. This October’s internet deals 2026 roundup checks each offer against the internet provider’s own site. Prices exclude taxes and fees.

In this guide, we’ll break things out in a deal table, and give you details on the best pick by buyer type, how promotions work, the cheapest plans, and how to find the best internet in your area.

What are the best internet deals right now?

The best internet deals right now are the six offers below, all checked on provider sites as of October 7, 2026. Only Xfinity lists an October end date. Every other offer says “limited time" without one.

Which internet provider has the best deal this month?

The best internet deal this month depends on what you value most. Three picks cover the main buyer types:

    • Best for price certainty: Xfinity, T-Mobile, and Verizon Fios 5 Gig each guarantee prices for five years. Our guide to internet price lock deals explains the fine print.
    • Best for upfront value: Fios 5 Gig’s $200 gift card comes with a chargeback if you cancel within 180 days. Smaller providers advertise more, including a $300 reward card from Brightspeed and a $300 prepaid Visa from WOW!.
    • Best for long-term cost: Xfinity 300 Mbps totals $1,080 over 24 months. T-Mobile Rely and Verizon 5G Home total $840, but only if you already pay for a voice line or Verizon mobile plan.

Among the best internet deals for new customers, locked rates matter more than gift cards. Most new customer internet deals target new sign-ups, so existing subscribers should ask about retention offers. Xfinity and Spectrum also pair their discounts with a free mobile line for one year, which only helps if you will switch phone carriers.

How do internet promotional deals work, and where do prices jump?

Internet promotional deals are temporary discounts, and the risk sits in the rate after they end. Spectrum advertises $40 a month for one year, then says “standard rates apply" without listing them. Consider a hypothetical $30 intro plan that rises to $70 after 12 months. It costs $1,200 over 24 months, an effective ~$50 a month.

Twelve-month intro rates were long the norm, and Spectrum still uses one. Today several providers advertise three- to five-year guarantees instead. Internet prices have not stopped changing, however. Guarantees typically cover the base rate only. Xfinity says taxes and fees are “extra and subject to change."

    Three checks protect you:

    • Autopay math: Autopay means automatic payment from a bank account or card. Xfinity requires a stored bank account plus paperless billing, and AT&T’s listed prices require both. See our autopay discount fine print guide.
    • Gift card math: Internet gift card deals look generous, but a $100 card on a $70 plan covers about 1.4 months of service. Verizon’s $200 card requires 65 days of active service.
    • The FCC label: Since April 10, 2024, most providers must show a standardized broadband “nutrition label" at the point of sale. It lists the monthly price, promotional rates, fees, and speeds [6].

Speed deserves a look too. The FCC raised its fixed broadband benchmark from 25/3 to 100/20 Mbps (megabits per second, download/upload) in March 2024 [7]. Every plan in the table clears that bar.

What is the cheapest internet deal in 2026?

The cheapest internet deals 2026 start at $30 a month, including Verizon Fios 300 Mbps with autopay, and Spectrum Internet 100 for its first year. T-Mobile and Verizon 5G plans at $35 use fixed wireless, which delivers home internet over cellular towers instead of cable or fiber.

Budget buyers should weigh lock length against the sticker price. Beginners who stream and browse on a few devices usually need no more than 300 Mbps, so a 1 Gig plan mainly suits large households with heavy uploads. Premium buyers have options too: AT&T Internet 5000 lists up to 5 Gig for $110 a month, down from a listed $135.

How do you find the best internet in your area?

Start with your address, because a gift card from a provider that doesn’t serve your home is worthless. Deals vary by location, and shoppers hunting internet deals October 2026 will see different offers by ZIP code.

    1. Enter your ZIP in the “Find Your Internet" tool on Compare Internet to see which internet providers serve you.
    2. Compare internet plans using each plan’s FCC label, focusing on the price after promotion.
    3. Compare internet providers on 24-month cost. Our compare providers page helps with this internet comparison.
    4. Confirm the end date before you order.

Offers can change when October ends, and Black Friday internet deals will soon be here as well. The best internet providers for you are the ones that serve your address at a price you can hold.

See what deals might be available in your area by entering your zip code in the tool below.

    FAQs

Can existing customers get new customer internet deals?

Usually not. Most promotions require new service at your address. Existing customers can call and ask for a retention offer or compare internet providers in their area.

Do price locks cover taxes and fees?

No. Xfinity says taxes and fees are extra and subject to change. T-Mobile’s five-year guarantee also excludes taxes and fees.

When do October internet deals expire?

Xfinity’s offer ends 10/25, according to its fine print. Spectrum, AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile show no end date, but their offers are subject to change.

How often is this page updated?

We update this page monthly and show the date at the top of the deal table. Confirm any price on the provider’s site before you order.
