Welcome back to another  Compare Internet review.   T-Mobile isn’t just offering  5G Home Internet anymore.   They’ve officially entered the fiber space with  T-Fiber, and they’re making a serious push.   Built from major acquisitions in 2025, T-Fiber  already reaches over 3 million homes and   businesses across more than 300 communities. So today, we’re breaking down T-Fiber:   where it’s available, how it’s priced, how it  performs, and whether it’s worth switching.   Availability | 3/5 Stars Let’s start with the most   important question: can you even get it? T-Fiber is available in select areas across   24 states, with the strongest coverage in parts  of the Southeast, Midwest, and Mid-Atlantic.   You’ll find it in areas of states like  Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Ohio,   Illinois, and Colorado, along with  a growing list of other markets.   But here’s the key difference  compared to T-Mobile 5G Home Internet:   availability is much more limited. While 5G Home Internet reaches tens of   millions of homes, T-Fiber currently  reaches just over 3 million.   And like most fiber providers,  availability is very specific.   Just because it’s in your city  doesn’t mean it’s on your street.   If it’s not available yet, T-Mobile does  allow you to join a waitlist in some areas.   Pricing | 4.5/5 Stars T-Fiber keeps pricing simple and competitive.   There are three main plans, all  with symmetrical speeds, meaning   your upload and download speeds are the same. The entry-level plan starts around $55 per month,   but with autopay discounts, it  can drop closer to $45, which is   very competitive for fiber internet. There are no contracts, no data caps,   and no equipment rental fees, which keeps pricing  predictable and very easy to understand.   Performance | 4.5/5 Stars This is where fiber internet really stands out.   T-Fiber delivers fast, consistent speeds  that don’t slow down during peak hours   the way wireless or cable can. Because speeds are symmetrical,   you’re getting the same performance for uploads  and downloads. That’s especially important for   video calls, uploading files, and households  with multiple users online at the same time.   For most homes, that means you can stream,  game, video call, and upload content all   at once without performance issues. Compared to T-Mobile’s 5G Home Internet,   fiber is more stable and not affected by  tower congestion or signal strength.   It’s also better suited for heavier  internet use, such as large file uploads   or multiple high-bandwidth activities  occurring simultaneously.   Equipment & Installation | 4/5 Stars Unlike T-Mobile’s 5G service,   T-Fiber requires professional installation. A technician will come to your home, run the   fiber line, install the necessary equipment,  and make sure everything is working properly.   The good news is installation  is included at no extra cost.   All plans come with a Wi-Fi router, and  higher-tier plans may include mesh Wi-Fi devices   for better coverage throughout your home. Once everything is installed, it works like   a typical home internet setup. If you prefer using your own router,   that’s also an option, but T-Mobile won’t  provide support for third-party equipment.   Customer Experience | 3.5/5 Stars T-Fiber is still relatively new   under the T-Mobile brand, so long-term  customer data is somewhat limited.   However, the networks it’s built on have  been around for years and have a strong track   record for reliability and performance. Early customer feedback has been positive,   especially regarding speed and consistency. T-Mobile has also kept local service teams   in place, which helps maintain a smoother  customer experience during the transition.   In general, fiber internet tends to  rank higher in customer satisfaction   than cable or wireless services. So while T-Fiber itself is new,   the underlying infrastructure is proven. Final Verdict | 3.9 / 5 Stars   So, is T-Fiber worth it? If it’s available at your   address, it’s a very strong option. The biggest strengths are its fast, symmetrical   speeds, consistent performance, no data caps,  no contracts, and included equipment.   The biggest limitation is availability. It’s still  expanding, and many areas won’t have access yet.   It also requires professional installation,  so you don’t get the plug-and-play convenience   of 5G Home Internet. And the starting  price is higher than wireless options,   but you’re getting more consistent performance.
